UAV Vision is a market leader in providing affordable stabilised camera gimbals suited to your specific application. Along with high quality camera gimbals, UAV Vision offers a number of accessories that allows customers to build complete systems to meet their exact needs.

This page will provide an overview of the different accessories UAV Vision offers, and the complete solutions section will describe these systems operate together.

Communications Modules

UAV Vision has several communication module options for a range of manned and unmanned applications. Depending on the type of operation and range required UAV Vision has several excellent options that will fulfill the requirements of most customers.

The key benefit of using the UAV Vision communication modules, is that you will have a SINGLE Payload Communications solution that handles both command and control of the camera gimbal plus DUAL video transmission.

The standard two communications modules UAV Vision offers are the SRHB Communications Module (Short Range High Bandwidth) and the LRLB Communications Module (Long Range Low Bandwidth). Short range is up to 10km (greater distances can be achieved with different antenna setups)  and can transmit video down to the ground at a high frame-rate and resolution. Long range is out to 80km and transmits video at a reduced frame-rate and resolution - however this can be fully controlled by the user.

GEOLock Module

The GEOLock module provides the on-board hardware required to allow the camera to have a full geo-referencing capability. Combined with either of the UAV Vision software solutions, this provides the operator the ability to lock on to an area (or target) of interest and the camera gimbal will automatically remain fixed on this location on the ground.

This functionality is invaluable for reducing operator workload and increasing the time operators can effectively control the payload for. It also allows steady, high quality imagery of a region of interest - even at higher zoom levels.

The UAV Vision GEOLock module is fully plug and plug with all the camera gimbal range and is the final component of the UAV Vision complete solutions range.

Interface Module

The UAV Vision Interface module allows the connection of the camera gimbal to a UAV Vision communication module (remote operations) or directly to an operator station (on-board operations) to provide flexibility where communications modules may be interchanged, or where signals need to be distributed out to other systems onboard.

This module replaces / is interchangeable with the GeoLock module and is used for operations where the GeoLock capability is not required.

Operator Control Stations

UAV Vision's operator control stations are the final component of the complete systems range. There are two options depending on the mission requirements. The first, is a custom control joystick that can be connected directly to the gimbal (through an interface box). This provides the user with the ability to control the camera gimbal and the most popular features such as zoom, IR image, etc.

The most popular solution however, providing the most functionality, is the operator control station that uses runs either of the UAV Vision software solutions on a ruggedized computer. This provides the user with an unparalleled level of gimbal functionality and situational awareness for the operation.

Anti-Vibration Mounts (AVM)

UAV Vision has a number of anti-vibration mounts for the different camera gimbals. Each have been flight tested on many different platforms, and provide an additional level of vibration isolation on platforms where there may be a higher level of vibrations in the mounting frame attached to the camera gimbal.

These mounts compliment the other 4 levels of stabilisation that UAV Vision utilises in their systems - lens stabilisation, internal sensor vibration isolation, active mechanical gyro stabilisation and a final level of software image stabilisation if desired.
