Overview

UAV Vision has several communication module options for a range of manned and unmanned applications. Depending on the type of operation and range required UAV Vision has several excellent options that will fulfill the requirements of most customers.

The key benefit of using the UAV Vision communication modules, is that you will have a SINGLE Payload Communications solution that handles both command and control of the camera gimbal plus DUAL video transmission.

The UAV Vision communications modules make putting together a complete surveillance system very easy, as all modules are completely plug and play and will arrive ready to operate immediately.

There are a number of benefits to using the UAV Vision communications modules. A few major benefits are:

A SINGLE Payload Communications solution that handles both command and control of the camera gimbal plus DUAL video transmission
Directly compatible with the complete range of UAV Vision camera gimbals.
Communication modules are shipped with all cabling required to plug modules directly in to the UAV Vision camera gimbals for immediate operation
No issues with sharing communciations links with other systems such as autopilots, and suffering latencies on gimbal control from this data sharing
The user can vary the video they receive at the remote location - for example you can alter the video throughput data so that it could be higher resolution but lower frame rate, or lower resolution but faster framerate
Our communications modules are capable of transmitting good quality imagery from both default EO and IR sensors on the CM160 simultaneously to the remote location!

Specifications

The standard communications module that UAV Vision offers is a high quality digital COFDM communications link. This link is available at different frequencies for operating in different applications and in different regions all over the world. The range is guaranteed by UAV Vision omnidirectional from the base station for 25+ km. We have guaranteed this through our own testing and verification.

To note is that we have achieved ranges out to 62 km with our full sized aircraft setup. Users can increase range by altering antennas and with the use of directional antennas, signification ranges can be achieved.

UAV Vision also offers a 3G communications modules that can utilise 3G networks wherever available. This provides access to authorised users from UAV Vision software to the remote asset from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

The UAV Vision communications modules can be plugged directly into the UAV Vision GEOLock or Interface module. Typically users request the GEOLock module, as this then provides the vast set of features available in the Aerial Information System software.
