Six Month Marine Trials with new Broadcast CM160 Gimbal
UAV Vision have successfully completed 6 months of sea trials in Australia. The CM160-V2 MS Gimbal has been deployed with the newly developed Full HD Broadcast Camera for over 6 months offshore, being operated actively every day without a single failure during this prolonged trial at sea. This trial was conducted in addition to other CM160 units currently deployed with existing UAV Vision customers in other marine environments.
The Broadcast CM160 houses the latest in HD sensors. It packs a feature rich HD recorder, with the system delivering 1080/60i/50i or 1080/24p/25p (Native) @ >21Mbps onto SD Cards. This also provides the user Time code and Zebra lines along with many other professional video features.
The 3CCD sensor within the gimbal is equipped with a 12x Optical Zoom lens and has 3 x 2.51 Megapixel MOS sensors, one for each primary colour, far superior to the 1CMOS sensors out there.

The Gimbal is suitable for a range of applications, on almost any platform. The CM160 Gimbal is currently deployed on many platforms, including UAVs (rotary and fixed wing), manned aircraft (fixed wing, gyrocopters/gyroplanes, helicopters), and marine surface vessels. Current testing is being undertaken on ground vehicle platforms.
