This 16 minute video highlights the "Aerial Information System" software package from UAV Vision Pty Ltd, this combined with the CM160-V2 Multi-sensor Stabilised Gimbal and associated hardware gives an amazing new look on aerial information gathering.
The complete package includes a Multi-sensor Gimbal, Aircraft state estimation, communications and of-course the software package to combine the high tech hardware and human interaction.
The communication system on this particular mission consisted of a direct Microwave link, delivering 3mbps IP data stream up to 62km LOS and a 3G modem providing the outages beyond the limits of the microwave. 4fps was achieved from both the daylight imagery and the IR video feed, also combined is the flight data streamed via a database for integrity and post review and shuffling.
