VD170 is a sophisticated very high resolution,
lightweight, stabilized daylight observation system
designed primarily for scout helicopters,
light reconnaissance aircraft, observation balloons and UAV's/UAS.

Is a two axis camera system, it has a controller which commands the pan and tilt with extreme speed and precision, the onboard processor is running at 1000Hz with a position controller capable of pointing the camera to 0.022º instantly, protected against wind loads, humidity and dust by an opticaly perfect Lexan dome.

Uavvision's Mini Velocity Dome system is designed specifically for small UAV/UAS's and to be commanded from Autopilots such as the AP04 from UAV Navigation, The AP04 inparticular can command the VD170 with a resolution of 0.022º which makes for a very accurate Geo-pointing device, it also goes with out saying provides the VD170 with excellent gyro stabilisation.
