Overview
AI System software utilises UAV Vision’s camera gimbals to provide operators with increased situational awareness for a wide variety of applications. The software provides users with a user friendly and intuitive application to view EO and IR video feeds, geographical data and other information whilst connected directly to the system onboard the aircraft, or remotely as a ground station.
One problem for operations however, is where you require data to be shared or provided to a number of users. This is where UAV Vision's Cloud Technology provides the answer - providing the mechanism for truely distributed operations.
With UAV Vision Cloud Technology, an unlimited number of users can use the AI Software and log into flight missions that they have access to, and view all live streaming video and the onboard operator’s actions live. There is still one central operator that is in control of the payload (camera gimbal), however an unlimited number of users can view the mission at once. All that is required is access to the internet and users are able to view missions from anywhere in the world.
Benefits
The benefits are clear - providing an unlimited number of authorised users the ability to connect into live missions and access valuable information on the fly.
Distaster assessment missions, surveillance operations and emergency management (for example fire spotting and response) are just a few examples where the benefit of being able to distribute data to multiple end users is invaluable.
Specifications
The specifications or requirements to use the UAV Vision Cloud Technology are as follows:
- the main operator station must be connected to the internet. This can be achieved easily using one of the UAV Vision communication modules that supports 3G connectivity (or other internet connectivity), plus the required data access plan
- the operator control station's 3G access (or other internet connectivity) allows the AI System software to communicate with UAV Vision dedicated secure data management servers
- an unlimited number of authorised users can then use the AI System software with relevant access login credentials to access live missions from these UAV Vision data servers. This can be done from anywhere in the world provided the user has internet access
Applications
UAV Vision's Cloud Technology is of interest for any application that requires distributed live mission data to multiple end users. Some examples include:
- Day and Night Observation
- Infrastructure Inspection
- Damage Assessment
- Search & Rescue
- Traffic Surveillance
- Coastal and Border Control
- Anti-Terrorist and Law Enforcement
- Surveillance
- Anti-Smuggling Surveillance
- Fire Control / Spotting
- Maritime surveillance
